from water offers a simple cycle design with fewer parasitic, heat exchanger
and pumping losses. A comparison of a conventional Solar Hybrid and one using using PSG technology is depicted below. Note this scheme fully integrates solar and is NOT essentially two plants using a single steam turbine.
PSG biomass/solar hybrid is fully integrated and conserves biomass fuel during the day while reducing the facility's carbon footprint. During the day the facility can be operated at 17-33% solar and as the sun sets shifted to 100% biomass. The solar/biomass hybrid uses common equipment lowering operational and capital costs. | |
